Dear Neighbors,
Construction is moving steadily upward and around the site. This week (March 8–14), Cahill Guzman Joint Venture placed equipment pads and curbs on the roof and started removing the temporary supports below. Scaffolding on the south side is now above the roof and netted, and crews are continuing to raise scaffolding around the building, including on the east side. Exterior framing is now up to the 6th floor, and interior work on the lower floors is wrapping up. Windows are being installed on the 2nd floor, and protective boards are being placed on the 2nd-floor terrace.
Water Work: The street-level pedestrian canopy was removed so the water department could start work on Freelon Street on Monday, March 9. They will cut the asphalt and install three new water meters, which should take about 3–4 days. Work on Welsh Street for a new fire hydrant doesn’t have a confirmed date yet but will likely follow the Freelon work.
