Construction Has Begun at 160 Freelon

Dear 160 Freelon Neighbors,

160 Freelon is a 100% affordable housing building starting construction. The project is constructed by Cahill Guzman Joint Venture, a combination of two renowned firms bringing over 100 years of experience in delivering projects across the San Francisco Bay Area. As construction begins to take shape, you can expect to see our crews in hard hats and marked vests on site. You will notice machinery, equipment, and materials being delivered to the site. You will also see fencing and signage to secure the area and restrict the public’s access for increased safety. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe, respectful, and clean job site with minimal impact to your neighborhood. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. What does this mean for you?

• Construction is underway at 160 Freelon Street, San Francisco, CA 94107 to develop 85 affordable, residential apartments including a play yard and outdoor courtyard.

• You can expect approximately 24 months of construction from June 2025 – June 2027 between the hours of 7:00AM – 3:30PM Monday to Friday.

• Construction activities will not normally occur on weekends, holidays, or overnight unless absolutely necessary. In those rare instances, we will provide notice through this website.

How can you stay in touch?

• Come meet the construction team in-person. You are invited to a Meet and Greet hosted by Cahill Guzman JV on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM where you can connect with the team and ask questions. We will gather at 568 Brannan Street at 5:00PM and bring people inside. If you are arriving later, please ring the doorbell and we will come let you in.
